Chemistry Assessment
The chemistry program, together with all programs at the university, has embarked on a major plan on assessing Student Learning Outcomes (SLO). This assessment plan is directly linked to the specific program goals and objectives which are subsequently linked to the college goals and the university mission. The assessment of program SLOs should provide the necessary data for evaluating the overall strength and effectiveness of the program. This assessment plan also compliments the self-study Program Review process that is currently used. The chemistry program goals has been revised and divided to seven major categories. Specific objectives that are measureable are listed under these categories. In the Spring of 2007, the chemistry program started on designing and implementing an assessment plan.
