When: FRIDAY // 4:00PM - 6:00PM
Meeting Place: UOG Aquaculture Park
(near the parking lot across the street from the Fine Arts building)
University of Guam students, faculty & staff and Guam residents are invited to join UOG Green as we volunteer to clean our campus. Volunteers are needed to clean designated sections of the campus. Together, we will collect litter and sort recyclables.

As a result of our efforts, UOG's aluminum and plastic bins were filled with recyclables!

UOG Green Interns Recruit Green Army Cadets: A Focus on Energy and Our Environment
We symbolized energy consumption with edible treats. Students were allowed to consume as much as they desired leaving their leftovers in the room. Therefore, their consumption of the treatssymbolized our consumption of energy and how we do not always consider what will be left for others who comeafter us.
Solarman Brad was on site to teach students about the benefits of the photovoltaics -- the power from the sun!

Guam Energy Office Energy Expo 2010

UOG Green interns shared knowledge about alternative/renewable energy, how to conserve energy to save money, and conducted residential power bill analysis.
Alternative/Renewable Energy: A Focus on Solar Power
"Solarman" Bradley Halbert has been learning about Solar energy. He built "Solar Work Boards" showcasing how solar energy is converted into usable electricity in the household.
· 21 July 2010 - Liberation Parade Recycling: All recycling efforts on the parade route. UOG Green joined the recycling contest by collecting plastic and aluminum recyclables along the parade route.

UOG Green Interns Learn How to Analyze Power Bills
We learned how to analyze residential GPA Power bills to determine energy usage! Next step, is to share this knowledge at the upcoming Energy Expo!
UOG Green Interns Recruit New Cadets
At UOG's Summer Camp, Green interns organized fun-filled GREEN activities to teach our next generation about island sustainability.
The day ended a great success with new friends!
