Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) at the University of Guam

Interested taxpayers must complete the Department of the Treasury - IRS Intake/Interview Review Sheet. In addition, all interested taxpayers have to provide original tax documents (i.e., W-2GU, 1099-INT, etc.). The scope of our services is limited to taxpayers that qualify for earned income tax credit.
The income limits are as follows:
Your earned income and AGI must be less than:

$43,998 ($49,078 for married filing jointly) if you have three or more qualifying children,

$40,964 ($46,044 for married filing jointly) if you have two qualifying children,

$36,052 ($41,132 for married filing jointly) if you have one qualifying child, or
-
$13,660 ($18,740 for married filing jointly) if you do not have a qualifying child.
We also serve elderly and disabled taxpayers as well as active military personnel.
The tax preparation process is divided into 2 steps:

Taxpayers will be pre-screened and must bring their completed Intake/Interview Review Sheet along with Original tax documents when they meet with the screener (A hard copy can be provided if the taxpayer does not have internet access).

Once approved, taxpayers will come back either on Friday or Saturday for tax preparation.
