With seven world-class golf resorts designed by famous U.S. and Japanese architects, Guam is virtual golfers' paradise. Leo Palace resort has one Nicklaus and two Arnold Palmer courses. Talafofo course was designed by nine of the top senior golfers in the world, including Ben Hogan, Sam Sneed, Chi Chi Rodrigues and Gene Littler, each of whom designed two holes. The Mangilao Country Club course, situated atop cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean, was designed by Robin Nelson and has been described by George Fuller in "Asia-Pacific Golf" magazine as ranking among the best in the Pacific. Guam does not have "members only" country clubs. All 7 of these courses are open to the public and all skill levels, beginner to pro, are welcomed. Guam also offers two outstanding military courses for authorized personnel and a number of driving ranges.
