"The Illness and the Odyssey"
According to the film's website, "The Illness and the Odyssey gives us an up-close look at the scientific process in the making as we observe internationally acclaimed scientists battling each other to find the cause of a mysterious disease" found only on Guam, which they hope will be the key to a cure for common neurological diseases like Parkinson's and Alzheimer's -- Lytico-Bodig. From the perspective of Native scholarship, the film is worth viewing as a locale for intervention where science and culture, each with vested interest, collide.
