Aquatic ecology, cyanobacterial systematics, and biostatistical analyses.
I am interested in the structure of aquatic and terrestrial food webs of tropical islands, particularly the influence of anthropogenic disturbance on the strength and organization of the linkages. I am also interested in the role of ENSO and other climate-related phenomena on the distribution and abundance of a wide array of taxa, including cyanobacteria, pelagic and reef fish, and vectors of disease.
