Michelle Blas is an Assistant Professor of Theater for CLASS at the University of Guam. She also worked as an Adjunct Instructor for the University and has taught classes in Theater and English since Fall of 2009. Michelle has also proudly taught English as a Second Language for the English Language Institute at the University of Guam from Spring 2005-Summer 2009. Michelle was born and raised on Guam and is a proud graduate of UOG having received her BA in Theater in 1999 and her Master of Fine Arts in Acting and Directing from the University of Houston in 2002. Overall, she has twenty years of experience in the theater as an actor, director, producer, stage manager, designer and co-designer in various productions both on island and off island. Michelle hopes to be an inspiration for Guam’s future theater artists while serving as their professor and director. Michelle is also the advisor for the Sigma Upsilon chapter of Alpha Psi Omega, National Theater Honor Society. She is also blessed to be the mom of two beautiful girls, Aura and Eden.
Hobbies: Performing when I get the chance, singing, reading, playing D & D when I get the chance, definitely traveling..when I get the chance, and most importantly learning about the universe and our inter-connectedness to all.
