AHEC Conducts Community Health Worker Training


AHEC Training May 2014A Community Health Worker training provided by the Women’s Health Leadership Institute was conducted in Guam on May 28-30, 2014, by the Mariposa Community Health Center based in Nogales, Arizona in coordination with the Guam/Micronesia Area Health Education Center (AHEC), University of Guam School of Nursing and Health Sciences. The training was designed to enhance the leadership skills of Community Health Workers in order to strengthen their capacity to address women’s health using a public health systems approach, within their communities. Participants were from Guam, FSM, Palau, and Saipan.
