UOG President, Dr. Robert Underwood, recently met a visiting Congressional Delegation (CODEL) led by Congressman John Kline (R-MN), Chairman of the Committee on Education and Workforce Committee in the U.S. House of Representatives. Dr. Underwood met with members of the CODEL during a breakfast meeting on June 1, 2014, and provided a brief update on the university’s strategic initiatives, capital campaign, and physical master plan. The purpose of the delegation was a fact-finding mission to the Pacific and Asia to seek global solutions to increase America’s competitiveness in the classroom, workplace, and international trade market. President Underwood also took the opportunity to share the official “Big G” logo to build support for the university’s 21st century plans for the future.
