UOG GREEN TO VISIT UNTALAN MIDDLE SCHOOL
(Mangilao, GU) – This Friday, October 12, 2012, the UOG Green interns will be spending time with the students at Untalan Middle School to present and hold discussions on green and sustainability topics such as energy conservation, recycling, composting, and more.
The Green interns are comprised of University of Guam students who are dedicated to educating the young people of Guam on sustainability and going green. Bringing green knowledge to the various schools on Guam has always been a passion of the UOG Green interns as it provides benefits not only for the younger students but for the UOG Green interns themselves.
“These activities provide great opportunities for the UOG Green interns to utilize what they learn in their internships and pass on their knowledge to younger students in our elementary, middle, and high schools,” says University of Guam Sustainability Coordinator, Elvie Tyler.
The UOG Green interns will be at the Untalan Middle School on Friday October 12 from 2:15pm-3:15pm. For more information please contact Elvie Tyler at 734-0478.
