Guam Honor Society for Nurses Holds Induction Ceremony

The Guam Honor Society for Nurses (GHSN) recently held its first induction ceremony at the College of Liberal Arts & Social Sciences Lecture Hall on the University of Guam campus on Saturday, May 31, 2014. GHSN is the first honor society for nurses in Guam and was organized in February 2013 by a group of Guam’s nurse leaders and scholars, as well nursing students with strong support from the University of Guam.

2014 Nursing Pinning Ceremony

Twenty-Four nursing students received their Nursing Pins at the 2014 School of Nursing Pinning Ceremony held at Leo Palace on May 18. The Pinning Ceremony is an important milestone in a nursing student's academic career. Receiving the pin signifies the welcoming of these students into the profession of Nursing.

"We are proud of our 24 graduating seniors from the BSN program," said Dr. Margaret Hattori-Uchima, Dean of the School of Nursing & Health Sciences. "We acknowledge them and their families for the hard work and dedication."
