UOG Receives Funding for New Student Services Center and Engineering Building

Officials from the University of Guam announced at a press conference on Oct. 24 that a $21.7 million loan from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) will significantly change how students experience service delivery and access opportunities for educational advancement.

UOG Renames Field House

The University of Guam community will celebrate an historic event at 10 a.m. on Friday, October 17, 2014 as the iconic UOG Field House will be renamed the University of Guam Calvo Field House. Through a committed donation of $3 million, the Calvo family is supporting the University’s 60th Anniversary Capital Campaign and UOG’s vision for a 21st Century campus.

Niigata College of Art and Design Donates to UOGEF

A group of students from the Niigata College of Art and Design (NCAD) recently visited Guam to host an annual charity art & craft market featuring hand-crafted goods by its students. The event was held on September 25 at the Micronesia Mall Center Court. NCAD raised $562 which was donated to the University of Guam Endowment Foundation.

UOG Academic Quality Survey

UOG Creates Online Academic Quality Survey

The University of Guam is asking the community to participate in an online Academic Quality Survey. The purpose of the survey is to determine the community’s impression of how well UOG is supporting student learning.  The survey will be used to: ensure faculty, student and community input; assist in identifying key issues regarding campus capacity; and assist in identifying areas needing improvement.

UOG Reports Record Enrollment for Fall 2014

Enrollment of 3,958 students represents a 3% increase over Fall 2013.

Despite national trends of declining enrollment in higher education within the past five years, enrollment at the University of Guam continues to rise.  UOG Admissions has reported a certified enrollment of 3,958 students for fall 2014, which is an increase of 3% over fall 2013 and the highest enrollment ever recorded at the University. Credit hour production also increased by 3% over last fall.
