The purpose of this scholarship program is to assist in the development of engineering and architecture talent among permanent residents of Guam, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI), Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) and Republic of Palau (ROP).

Award Amount:

Between $3,500 to $5,000

Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Be a permanent resident of Guam, CNMI, FSM, ROP, or a dependent of active duty or reserve military personnel who are from Guam, CNMI, FSM, or ROP, as described above.
  2. Exhibit sincere interest in obtaining an engineering or architecture undergraduate degree and returning to Guam, CNMI, FSM, or ROP after graduation to begin their professional career.
  3. Be accepted to or plan to enroll in an accredited engineering or architecture program. (A candidate may apply for the scholarship before being accepted to the undergraduate program).

This scholarship is presented through the University of Guam Financial Aid Office.
The Society of Emeritus Professors and Retired Scholars (SEPRS) at the University of Guam is currently accepting applications for its 2020 – 2021 Scholarship Award. The intent of the SEPRS Scholarship is to assist full-time UOG students in accomplishing their academic goals and the academic mission of the University of Guam.

Award Amount:

Scholarship awards $500.00 per semester or $1,000.00 for one academic year.

Eligibility Requirements:

  1. The applicant must be a registered full-time University of Guam undergraduate or graduate student and may hold any citizenship.
  2. The applicant must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0.
  3. All applicants must submit at least one letter of recommendation.
  4. Write an essay describing academic goals and explaining how the SEPRS scholarship will be helpful for achieving the goals (300 – 500 words).
  5. Once selected, the recipient must maintain a GPA of at least 3.0.

This scholarship is presented through the University of Guam Financial Aid Office.
Scholarship awards range from one-time $2,500 awards to multi-year $20,000 awards. APIA Scholars provides scholarships to underserved APIA students with a special focus on those who:
  • Live at or below the poverty level, or are otherwise of low socioeconomic status.
  • Are the first in their families to attend college.
  • Are representative of the APIA community’s diversity, (geographically and ethnically}, especially those ethnicities that have been underrepresented on college campuses due to limited access and opportunity.
  • Have placed a strong emphasis on community service and leadership as well as solid academic achievement.

Award Amount:

Scholarship awards range from one-time $2,500 awards to multi-year $20,000 awards.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Be of Asian and/or Pacific Islander ethnicity as defined by the U.S. Census.
  • Be a citizen, national, or legal permanent resident of the United States. Citizens of the Republic of the Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia and the Republic of Palau are also eligible to apply.
  • Be enrolling as an undergraduate student in a U.S. accredited college or university in the Fall of 2020.
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale (unweighted) or have earned a GED.
  • Must apply for federal financial aid for the 2020-2021 academic year using the Free Application for the Federal Student Aid (FASFA) by early April 2020.
  • Submit one letter of recommendation online.

This scholarship is presented through the University of Guam Financial Aid Office.
The Yoichi K. and Sharon S. Rengiil TRIO Scholarship is awarded to two students who are participants of the TRIO Student Support Services Program at the University of Guam and meet the scholarship requirements by the application deadline. The intent of this scholarship is to award one applicant who is an alumnus or alumnae of the Educational Talent Search and one alumnus or alumnae of Upward Bound program. If any one of the programs fail to field applicants, the scholarships will be awarded to the next eligible applicants.

Award Amount:

Two (2) scholarships of $500 each.

The primary purpose of the fund is to provide annual scholarships to one or more students at the University of Guam.

Eligibility Requirements:

Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student admitted at the University of Guam. Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 2.5, and maintain that average throughout the scholarship period.

Application Deadline:

January 24, 2020, 4:00 pm ChST.
All applications must be dropped off at the UOG Endowment Foundation office.

This scholarship is presented through the University of Guam Endowment Foundation.
The primary purpose of the fund is to provide annual scholarships to one or more students admitted to the Micronesian Studies Master of Arts Program at the University of Guam.

Award Amount:

$500

Eligibility Requirements:

Applicant must be a full-time graduate student admitted in the Micronesian Studies Program. Applicant must be a resident of Guam, the Freely Associated State (Republic of the Marshall Islands; Federated States of Micronesia; Republic of Palau), or the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands., and intend to work and stay on Guam after completing their degree. Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5, and maintain that average throughout the scholarship period.

Application Requirements:

  • Scholarship Application Form
  • Official Transcript
  • Three (3) letters of recommendations
  • A brief essay with answers to the following questions:
    1. Describe any activities or community services which you are/were a participant.
    2. What is your chosen course of study? Why?
    3. Briefly explain your intended career objective.

January 24, 2020, 4:00 pm ChST.
All applications must be dropped off at the UOG Endowment Foundation office.
