The University of Guam and University of Hawaii Sea Grant programs will be holding an interactive info webinar for students interested in applying for the John A. Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship.

The Knauss Fellowship provides a unique educational and professional experience to graduate students who have an interest in ocean, coastal, and Great Lakes resources and in the national policy decisions affecting those resources. The fellowship matches highly qualified graduate students with "hosts" in the legislative and executive branch of government located in the Washington, D.C., area, for a one-year paid fellowship.

The webinar will feature speakers and a panel discussion with former Knauss fellows Beth Lenz and Maya Walton from Hawaii, and Guam’s first Knauss fellow, Lauren Swaddell, sharing their insights along with some tips for applicants.

The fellowship is open to students in Guam and Hawaii as Sea Grant network areas and is sponsored by the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the National Sea Grant organization. It is named after one of Sea Grant's founders and former NOAA Administrator John A. Knauss.
