American Marketing Association Conference:

Over the years, the AMA-UOG Collegiate Chapter has been active both on and off campus in furthering the professional development of student members and our community through leadership, training, and involvement in the field of marketing.

Our conference theme this year is e-Business Update: Developing Competitive Advantage in a Digital World. Topics that will be discussed will include e-Marketing, e-Commerce, e-Communications, e-Accounting e-Financing, e-Retailing, e-Tourism, e-Human Resources, e-Sustainability and e-Entrepreneurship. Today’s increasingly competitive marketplace demands that firms adopt new approaches to acquiring, maintaining, and growing customers.  Join us as we explore innovative and creative ideas for cultivating the relationships between organizations and their customers.

Capstone Presentations:

The Capstone Experience provides the opportunity for graduating business students to integrate concepts and skills learned throughout their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) courses. Each group of presenters is expected to promote economic development in one of Guam’s villages through the generation of new jobs, new start-up businesses and the promotion of the arts or unique merchandise (tying together the initiatives of One Village, One Product and Guam Unique Merchandise and Art). Unlike previous capstone presentations throughout the years, this year’s presentation will be based on the hit TV show Shark Tank. Nineteen student teams will be proposing their pitch to judges who will play the role of investors in the UOG-SBPA “Snake Pit” Competition.

Keynote Speaker: Bonnie Levy

Bonnie Levy, our keynote speaker, started working in digital media in 2007 as an intern at a small start up. After graduating from UCLA in 2008, she was employed at a music website called Buzznet. Since then she has been helping brands engage their customers with innovative advertising strategies both online and offline. With a special interest in psychology, Bonnie is not your typical marketing professional. She has been a mentor to those she's managed and worked alongside with. Her aim in the business world is to achieve brands’ advertising goals with heavy doses of humor, honesty and humility. After spending 10 years in LA, Bonnie now resides in Sydney where she works for BuzzFeed Australia as a Brand Strategist.
