Guampedia.com and the University of Guam's College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences invite the community to join "Culture of Connecting," a four-part virtual outreach series where the wartime experiences of our mañaina are put into conversation with the difficult times in which we now live. In the spirit of resiliency, the centerpiece of our rich and long history, we forge ahead by looking to our past. Throughout the Marianas, the kusinan sanhiyong has always been a site for lively and productive conversations. "Culture of Connecting" offers a virtual "back kitchen table" where we can gather to share stories that will help us chart a better reality. In re-centering the human experience of World War II in Guam, highlighting coping skills, resources, and cultural values that became tools for survival when all else failed, we offer our youth a bridge to their past, a bridge to their future. Join "Culture of Connecting" and be a part of that bridge.
