CHARTER DAY SCHEDULE
CENTER COURTYARD ACTIVITY
Food, Games and Activities for the Whole Family - Begins at 9 a.m.
Join us for the Welcoming Ceremony starting at 9 a.m.
The Center Courtyard will be filled with great entertainment options! Explore the
hut competition and enjoy live dance performances, music, games, an obstacle course,
and delicious food all day long!
Army ROTC Demonstrations - 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Come and enjoy exciting demonstrations from our own Triton Warrior Battalion at the
campus courtyard and visit our face painting booth that will be located in at the
Agriculture and Life Science building. Everyone is welcome to come view and handle
weapons on display at the demonstration tent.

Demonstration times are 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 1:00, 2:00
Weapons display from 9:00-2:30
*Spectators please be advised that blank ammunition and pyrotechnics that include
artillery simulators, grenade simulators, and smoke grenades will be in use.

RFK Memorial Library Book Sale and Tour - 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
RFK Library Book Sale
The RFK Library will be open from 9 a.m. to 12 noon and will hold its annual Charter Day Book Sale in the after-hours room. Guided tours of the library are available and must be scheduled ahead of time.

Marine Lab Tours (Reservations Recommended) - 9 a.m. to Noon
Marine Lab Tours
Visitors will be introduced to some of Guam’s marine life while tour guides highlight
some of the ongoing research happening at the lab. Guests will have a chance to visit
our touch tanks and get up close and personal with some of the (harmless and docile)
critters that call our reefs home.
We anticipate that tours will last approximately 30 minutes each. Reservations are
recommended as seats are limited (24 max per time slot).
*** Shuttle busses are provided at the top of the hill for transportations to both Marine Laboratory and WERI. ***

Video Presentations: “Extremely Loud and Dangerous Things” / “Virtual Aquifer Tour”

Four 30-minute sessions, 24 people maximum per session
Take a dive into the 3-D virtual aquifer and learn about our most valuable renewable resource: the Northern Guam Lens Aquifer. Then prepare yourself for videos of extreme weather and loud and dangerous things (tornadoes, typhoons, exploding asteroids, rocket launches, close-up lightning strikes, monster trucks in mud).

KULU, The Giant Inflatable Colon (UOG Cancer Research Center)
Walk through KULU, the 20-foot-long inflatable colon! Learn about colorectal cancer, which ranks third among the number of cancer cases on Guam.
Children under 10 should be accompanied by an adult. Receive a small gift if you're 18 or over and participate in a pretest-posttest study during the walk-through.

Visit the 4H Food and Nutriton booth to explore youth development programs on health, reef management, fishery workshops, nutriton, exercise, food safety, and environmental health. Meet representatives from Guam EPA, the U.S. Cost Guard, and Guam Auxiliary.
The Western Pacific Tropical Research Center (WPTRC) will have displays on plant seedlings, weevils, farm equipment, and aquaculture.
