Triton Outstanding Employee Award
Evaluation Process
A single nominee in any award category does NOT mean the nomiee is an automatic winner. Each category need not have a winner. In the event that no nomination is received or that nominee(s) are determined not to have met the standard criteria in the category for which they are nominated, an award in that category may not be given for the quarter.
The evaluation period shall include any accomplishments achieved during the twelve (12) months preceding September 30, 2026. The review committee shall consist of one representative from each governing body (Faculty Senate, Staff Council, Administrative Council, and Student Government Association) and one at-large committee member each recommended by the SVPP and the VPAF and CBO, as approved by the President. The CHRO shall serve as the University of Guam Employee Recognition Program Advisor.
All Triton Outstanding Employee Award Nomination discussions are confidential. The nominator may be contacted for additional information. Changes may not be made to the Nomination Forms without discussion and agreement by the Triton Outstanding Employee Award Committee. Recommendations made for the Triton Outstanding Employee Award Committee regarding award winners will be submitted to the President for approval.
Recommendations will be based on the following:
-
Governing Body Representatives Review Committee Members:
The average score awarded by representatives from the governing bodies. -
At-Large Review Committee Members:
The average score awarded by the at-large review committee members.
The two average scores will be calculated and considered separately and will not be combined into a single average score.
Award winners will be officially named by the President to the CHRO within six (6) months from September 25, 2026. The CHRO, in collaboration with the Chief Marketing & Communications Offier and Executive Assistant to the President, will coordinate the Triton Outstanding Employee Award Ceremony, award prizes, and announcements/public recognition of the winners.
