About NSE

National Student Exchange (NSE) provides collegiate study away for undergraduate students at member campuses in the United States, Canada, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.  Established in 1968, NSE has arranged affordable exchange opportunities for more than 120,000 students.

Study away through NSE includes diverse university settings and access to a wide array of courses, programs, field experiences, and internships.  Through this program students may take a semester or academic year to attend another fully accredited participating institution while making progress toward their University of Guam degree.

Registration Restrictions:

  • UOG does offer early registration but is unable to assist students with specific course needs.
  • ALL students must have extreme course flexibility as no assistance is available for course overrides or special registration.

National Student Exchange (NSE) at the University of Guam

All placements for study away exchange through the National Student Exchange are administered by an NSE coordinator at your home campus.  To locate the NSE office on your campus, please visit NSE Member Campuses for more information.

If you are considering an exchange to the University of Guam, please note that we will primarily accept NSE students on host pay (student pays UOG tuition) placements.  A limited number of home pay (students pay tuition to their home campus) placements may be accepted.  We will match the number of outgoing students we have home pay.
