Mr. Jason Miyashita from Morgan Stanley recently conducted Investment Fundamentals training on April 7 at the University of Guam School of Business & Public Administration. The training included an interactive discussion with members of the Student Investment Club and UOG Associate Professor Dr. Leila Kabigting's finance students on the principles of saving and investing.

Mr. Miyashita is the Vice President – Wealth Management in the Morgan Stanley’s Wealth Management office in Hagatna, Guam. Mr. Miyashita also currently holds the Senior Investment Management Consultant, International Client Advisor and Financial Advisor titles at Morgan Stanley.

 

Mr. Miyashita, who has been with Morgan Stanley Wealth Management and its predecessor firms since 2005, is a native of Hagatna, Guam. As a Partner on the Asia Pacific Group Guam based team at Morgan Stanley, he provides a full suite of investment services to institutions, corporations, foundations, endowments, high net-worth investors and business owners focusing on wealth management, investment management, managed money, estate planning, and retirement and education planning.

 

A graduate of The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania with concentrations in Accounting, Finance and Strategic Management and Father Duenas Memorial High School, Mr. Miyashita holds the Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist (CRPS®), Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst (AIFA®) and Financial Planning Specialist designations.

 

Mr. Miyashita is an active member of the Rotary Club of Tumon Bay Guam, Guam Chamber of Commerce, Saipan Chamber of Commerce, Palau Chamber of Commerce, Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Guam, The Asia Pacific Association for Fiduciary Studies and The Pacific Club in Honolulu, Hawaii.
