Hōkūleʻa Physician to Speak at UOG December 1
The University of Guam Cancer Research Center and the University of Hawaii Cancer Center are pleased to welcome Neal Palafox, MD as a guest speaker.
Dr. Palafox will share his experiences on the traditional Polynesian seafaring vessel, Hokule'a, which recently returned to Hawaii after a three-year global voyage that spanned nearly 60,000 miles.
The presentation will be held at the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (CLASS) Lecture Hall on Friday, December 1, from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. The event is open to the public.
Palafox serves as a principal investigator of the U54 Cancer Research Center which features a partnership between the UOG and UH.
