Message from the President: #GivingTuesday
Hafa Adai Fellow Tritons,
The days after Thanksgiving are often filled with shopping for the best deals, eating leftovers, and looking forward to Christmas. Many of us woke up early to shop on Black Friday and many will continue shopping online for Cyber Monday.
This year, on November 28, the University of Guam is celebrating #GivingTuesday, the global day of giving, and we ask you to celebrate with us.
Beginning this Tuesday and through December 31, we aim to raise $28,000 in student scholarships for our undergraduate academic programs and Triton Athletics. We need the help of the entire Triton Community to make an impact in the lives of our students.
Our students and faculty will be distributing pledge cards on-campus throughout Tuesday, and you can also make a donation on any day through give.uog.edu. Another way you can help is by sharing this message on social media.
"G" is not just the Big G, it is the Giving G. In Chamoru, the word for generosity is Geftao. It literally means "you are a very good person." Be a Good UOG citizen and a really Good person for #GivingTuesday. Support your favorite UOG programs.
We thank you for your contributions to our great University, and we hope you'll join us in supporting #GivingTuesday.
