Castro Brothers Sign With UOG Men's Basketball Again And Both Earn Scholarships For 2018-19

The University of Guam Men's Basketball Team has signed the "Castro Brothers" from Simon Sanchez High School to UOG Athletic Letters of Intent, plus partial tuition scholarships for 2018-19.

Anthony (5'8") and Aaron (5'9") Castro both signed with UOG for 2017-18 but as non-scholarship players who walked on the program and helped provide depth for the Tritons in the early part of the season but both became part-time starters and major contributors during the Guam Men's College Basketball League as the Triton roster became sparse of players and the twins were called upon for more scoring, defense and on court leadership.

The bothers have both earned scholarships for 2018-19 and higher expectations for increased playing time and continued hustle on the court during practice and games.

Anthony Castro scored 24 points in multiple games during the spring semester for the Tritons during the GMCBL season and playoffs.

UOG Men's Basketball went 30-0 in 2017-18 and won three different league titles during the academic year. The Tritons face rebuilding in 2018-19 with only 5-6 players returning to the team.
