Half of the University of Guam School of Education undergraduates this fall semester landed in the top 20th percentile of all qualified Praxis test-takers all over the U.S. last year.

Without much fanfare, this was announced during the UOG School of Education awards ceremony on Dec. 2 at the LeoPalace Resort in Yona. The event recognized more than 20 undergraduates, who will later be conferred with their bachelor's degrees at the UOG commencement ceremony today.

The undergraduates took the Praxis Core test during the 2016-2017 school year. The nationwide results were released just recently, so during the ceremony, the 12 students who made it to the top 20 and top 5 percent were surprised by the good news.
