The University of Guam Men's Basketball Team signed the "Ox" to play for the Tritons in 2018-19 as Romell Bateman, a 6'4", 220 pound forward, nicknamed the "Ox", signed his UOG Athletic Letter of Intent to play for the Tritons next basketball season.
The Tritons went 30-0 in 2017-18 and won three league championships.
Romell is originally from New Jersey where he played at Linden High School and he was All-District, All-County and 3rd Team All-State.
