Karlo De LeonDe Leon and Sablan Return To The UOG Men's Basketball Team In 2018-19

The University of Guam Men's Basketball Team signed two more returning players to their 2018-19 roster from the undefeated 2017-18 team. Both players have signed UOG Athletic Letters of Intent and partial tuition scholarships for next fall and spring.

Karlo De Leon who graduated from George Washington High School and has played two years for the Tritons, will return for his 3rd campaign with the UOG squad. Karlo is a 5'8" guard/forward on the team and has provided much needed depth on the team his first two years and was a part-time starter on the team during the Guam Men's College Basketball League in the spring of 2018.

Also returning is Rafael Sablan, a 5'7" forward from Simon Sanchez High School who also has played two years for the Tritons and has been a major contributor to the Rafael SablanUOG Men's Soccer Team for two years as well. Sablan has developed a solid three point shot for UOG and can be a strong force on the boards.

The Tritons were 30-0 in 2017-18 and won three different league championships during the academic year.

The UOG squad will return to the basketball court in September as they defend their Guam Basketball Challenge championship they won in the Fall of 2017 at Andersen Air Force Base. The Tritons plan to play in the Guam Basketball Association League (GBA) when it returns in 2018-19, the Guam Men's College Basketball League and the March Madness Tournament at Andersen as well.
