UOG Men's Basketball Signs First Recruit of 2018-19
The University of Guam Men’s Basketball Team has signed their first recruit for the 2018-19 basketball season to a UOG Letter of Intent as Logan Hopkins of Floresville, TX will become a Triton for the Fall of 2018. The Triton Basketball Team went 30-0 in 2017-18 with 3 League Championships.
Logan is a 5’10”, 175 pound point guard who played high school basketball at Floresville High School where he was a First Team All-District selection as a senior and 2nd Team All-District player as a junior. As a senior he averaged 20 points a game, with 5 assists, 4 rebounds and 3 steals per game. He was named to the Devine All-Tournament Team and Navarro Tournament 3 Point Shoot-Out Champion.
Hopkins attended Texas Lutheran University as a freshman in Seguin, Texas, about 35 miles east of San Antonio, and 50 miles south of Austin, Texas.
He was 1st Team All-District as a punter for his high school football team as well as a two time member of the All-District 2nd Team Baseball squad at 3rd Base and Utility.
Logan plans to major in Biology at UOG.
