The University of Guam Men's Soccer Team defeated the Andersen Bombers soccer squad on Wednesday night at the Guam Football National Training Center 2-0 in a GFA Budweiser Premier League match. The win was the fourth in a row for Tritons.

With the win, the Tritons clinched 3rd place in the Premier League going into the playoffs which start May 11-12 and UOG will play the #6 team in the league in the opening round of the playoffs. There are several teams who could become the #6 team as the regular season finishes up.

In the match, both teams played back and forth during the first 30 minutes of the game and UOG broke through first as Jacques Diambra passed from the right side to Kyle Legozzie in the middle of the field near the Bombers goal and he pushed through two defenders and hit a shot by the charging Andersen goalie for the first goal.

Sean Evans played a solid match as goalkeeper for the Tritons as the Bombers had several chances to score with point blank shots during the match as the UOG defensive back line struggled at times during the match to keep the Bombers away from the their goal area.

The Tritons are now 12-2-1 on the season and still have a make-up match with the BOG Strykers I team before the playoffs begin but the match has not been scheduled as of yet. The Bombers fall to 9-5-1 on the season.
