Tritons Out LoudDiversity. Unity. Pride. These values will take the spotlight of the University of Guam’s first-ever Tritons Out Loud – Diversity Day. From 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, April 26, the Calvo Field House will be open to all who want to show their pride and support for the differences and qualities that make each person and each community unique.

“This promises to be a very exciting inaugural event to celebrate our overall diversity at UOG, particularly among our students,” said Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs Anita Borja Enriquez.

The Student Government Association and the office of Enrollment Management & Student Success have teamed up to plan this inaugural event for the University community. Attendees can look forward to:

  • A Parade
  • A Fashion Show
  • Prizes
  • Musical Entertainment
  • Food Trucks

A key highlight will be a presentation by soon-to-be graduate Maria Bontogon, who will share her personal story about overcoming challenges and finding success as an ADA student.

Additionally, UOG is hosting a photo project to represent the unique personalities of the UOG community. Students can express themselves in two alliterative words with a corresponding photo using their own props and creativity. The photo booth will be set up in the Student Center on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays for the remainder of April, and the photos will be featured during the Tritons Out Loud event and on Instagram @TritonsOutLoud.

Photobooth Schedule
