The University of Guam Women's Soccer Team opened the fañomnåkan portion of the Guam Football Association Amateur Women's League on Jan. 20, 2019, by defeating the Lady Bombers of Andersen Air Force Base 6-0 at the GFA National Training Center.

The Lady Bombers had nine players to the Lady Tritons' full team of 11 players.

The fast-break offense the Tritons have become known for took some time to find the passing lanes, but at the 20-minute mark of the first half, the UOG squad scored for a 1-0 lead. The Tritons would score again before the half to lead 2-0 at half-time.

The Lady Tritons scored their third goal at the 53-minute mark of the game and then exploded for two more goals in the next three minutes to go up 5-0 on the Lady Bombers, putting the outcome safely in the Tritons' favor. UOG would score one more goal before the final whistle to win the match 6-0.

Ariya Cruz and Kaitlyn Cox scored two goals each for the Tritons while Elisha Benavente and Koholali'i Martens added one goal each. Cruz with 10 goals and Benavente with 8 goals are the two top scorers in the Amateur League.

In six matches, UOG has outscored their opponents 26-1 so far this season with five shutouts.

The Lady Tritons are now 6-0-0 for the season and play Team Mosas at 3:30 p.m. next Sunday, Jan. 27, at the GFA National Training Center.
