The University of Guam Triton Athletics Department announced on June 22 the launch of its academic clubs for UOG athletes for 2018-19.

Thirty five total UOG athletes earned a place in one of the three academic clubs. The Triton Club includes only 4.00 GPA students. The Trident Club includes students with a 3.50 to 3.99 GPA, and the Green Club includes students with a 3.00 GPA to 3.49 GPA.

The awardees were led by Women's Soccer players Jazreelyn Bulaklak and Koholali'i Maertens, who managed to carry 4.00 GPAs for the academic year of 2018-19.

Student-athletes can earn their place in an academic club in four categories: Fanuchånan Semester, Fañomnåkan Semester, Academic Year, and Academic Career.

Men's Soccer led the three UOG varsity sports with 15 total athletes earning a place in the academic clubs, while Women's Soccer had 12 club members and Men's Basketball had eight club members.

Besides Bulaklak and Maertens, other Triton athletes with Triton Club status were Raffy Sablan of Men's Basketball for the fañomnåkan semester, Elisha Benavente of Women's Soccer for the fañomnåkan semester, and Aeryn Anulao of Women's Soccer for the fanuchånan semester.
