UOG Athletics Hall of Fame member passes away

The University of Guam lost one of its greatest football players last week, as Art Rabon passed away from complications of lung cancer.

Rabon was voted into the UOG Athletics Hall of Fame last October, in the Class of 2018.

Milestones in Art Rabon's football career at UOG include:

  • Played 6-7 seasons for the UOG Tritons Football Team Voted the Toughest Football Player of All-Time on Guam
  • Voted 3rd Best Football Player of All-Time on Guam in 2010
  • Named to the Sports Legends of Micronesia in 2012
  • Played on both UOG Championship Teams in 1975 (9-1) and 1977 (10-0)
  • Named All-Island Selection for Offense and Defense as fullback and defensive lineman
  • Led the Varsity Football League in scoring in 1976 with 70 points
  • Tied Lawrence Johnson for the Scoring Lead in the Varsity Football League in 1977 with 84 points
