Women's Basketball tryouts well-attended, continue on Monday

The University of Guam Women's Basketball Team held tryouts on May 14 at the UOG Calvo Field House with 13 players showing up to be put through drills and have their basketball skills tested.
The players were from several Guam high schools, some UOG Women's Basketball Club Team (the Tridents) members and one player from Saipan, Jan-Nasia Travilla, who flew down "to take advantage of the opportunity that was presented," she said.
Travilla attends Northern Marianas College on Saipan and plays for the Saipan Women's National Basketball Team.
UOG Head Women's Coach Cecile Olandez had several members of her Guam National Master's Women's Basketball team present to help out and instruct during the tryout including UOG Athletics Hall of Fame member for women's basketball Susan Rechebong Lupola.
