The favorite Disney film “Frozen” is coming to take Guam by snowstorm with the stage production “Frozen Jr.” featuring an all-youth cast. The performance, presented by World Theater Productions in conjunction with Step Up Entertainment & Dance Co. and in partnership with the University of Guam Triton Athletics Department, is based on the animated film featuring its same memorable songs as well as five new songs written for the Broadway production.

The show will have performances at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7, at the UOG Calvo Field House.

“We are excited to present this fun show for the whole family that is perfectly suited for the holiday season,” said Margie Dancel, executive producer and chorographer of World Theater Productions. “With the success of ‘Mamma Mia’ in September, World Theater Productions is proud to continue its great working relationship with University of Guam Triton Athletics.”

Directed by Jojo Urquico, “Frozen Jr.” will feature a cast of local elementary, middle, and high school students, starring TerriAnn Hill as Elsa, Raisa Adriano and Jaira Natividad as Anna, Jose Valdez as Kristoff, Kristoffer Aquino as Hans, Xavier Borja as Sven, and Christopher Tamayo and Joel Christopher as Olaf.

The storyline follows the princess sisters Elsa and Anna as they discover their hidden potential and the powerful bond of sisterhood.

A portion of proceeds will be donated to the UOG Endowment Foundation for the benefit of the Triton Fitness Center in the Calvo Field House.

“This donation will directly benefit UOG students with new weights, yoga mats, and equipment for the Triton Fitness Center,” Athletics Director Doug Palmer said.

Other recent productions at the Calvo Field House have benefitted the university as well, with $10,000 from the “Mamma Mia” production in September going toward student athlete scholarships and $22,000 from the Super American Circus in November going toward production equipment for the main arena of the Field House.
