Two representatives from a Hawaii-based program that assesses climate variability and change in the region will be on the University of Guam campus to share recent critical reports for the island.

The UOG Pacific Islands Climate Adaptation Science Center will host a town hall forum featuring Program Manager Wendy Miles and Sustained Climate Assessment Specialist Zena Grecni of the Pacific Regional Integrated Sciences and Assessments Program. Miles and Grecni will summarize key findings from the Fourth National Climate Assessment (NCA4) and the Pacific Islands Regional Climate Assessment (PIRCA).

Highlights of the NCA4, which was released in November 2018, will touch on the assessments made for Hawaii and U.S.-affiliated Pacific Islands. The PIRCA report will share the latest developments of climate summaries specific to Guam. This report is expected to be finalized this year.

The public is invited to attend and learn more about how these findings relate to Guam’s experiences of climate vulnerability and change.

The Climate Assessment Reports for Guam Town Hall Forum will take place at:
Time: 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Date: Monday, Oct. 28
Location: College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences Lecture Hall, University of Guam
