The matchup was the second one of the PBS Guam Women's Basketball League. The Tritons moved the ball around, allowing all 11 players on the team to score. They led 19-2 after the first period and 37-6 at halftime.

Niah Siguenza led the Tritons in scoring with 16 points and also grabbed 13 rebounds. Paige Persha added 12 points for the Lady Tritons, while Danielle Robles and Danica Cabrera added 10 points each.

For the Tridents, Kim Graham led the team in scoring with eight points and 13 rebounds, and Justine Yeban added seven points for the club team.

The Tritons are now 2-0 in the league, while the Tridents fell to 0-2.

In the second game of the night, the Fuetsa Women's Basketball Club defeated the Team Legends 89-18. The first five minutes of the game was close, as the Legends led early, 5-4, but the Team Legends got stuck on seven points for almost 10 minutes as Fuetsa pulled away to a 48-11 lead after halftime and the eventual 89-18 victory.

Fuetsa was led by Leesey Perez with 17 points and Taneea Henderson with 16. The Legends were led by Therese Sison with six points.

Fuetsa goes to 2-0, while the Legends drops to 0-2.

The Tritons and Fuetsa will battle for first place at 8:15 p.m. next Tuesday, Sept. 17, as the two undefeated teams meet in the Calvo Field House. The Team Legends and Tridents will play for their first victory the same night at 6:30 p.m.
