Alumna and businesswoman Annmarie Muna to address graduates

More than 240 graduates are expected to receive their degrees on Sunday, Dec. 22, at the University of Guam’s Fanuchånan 2019 Commencement Ceremony, starting at 2 p.m. in the Calvo Field House.

Annmarie T. Muna, a licensed independent insurance broker and general manager for AM Insurance, will deliver the commencement address. Muna graduated with top honors from the University of Guam in 1983, earning her bachelor’s as a double major in management and business administration while working as an insurance clerk. Following graduation, she transitioned into management and in 1994 opened her own insurance company, AM Insurance, in response to a growing need on island for excess and surplus coverage of large local companies.

“Annmarie’s success story is one that many UOG students can relate and aspire to,” said UOG President Thomas W. Krise. “She had dreams of big things, and her education here at UOG prepared her to achieve her goals. Now she is one of the island’s most successful professionals in her field.”

The commencement ceremony will be streamed live on the University of Guam’s Facebook page.
