The program is looking for undergraduate students who are interested in addressing health disparities and want to pursue a degree in the biomedical, social, behavioral, clinical, health, or bioengineering fields.

Based at Portland State University, BUILD EXITO offers UOG students a pathway to graduation and beyond with enhanced science education, dedicated advising, and opportunities for hands-on research experiences. Students who are accepted into the program will be trained, mentored, and supported as a community of scholars with the ultimate goal of preparing to solve important health issues through research in the social sciences and biomedical fields.

You don't need to have prior research experience or think of yourself as a scientist — BUILD EXITO will help you prepare for a future research career.

To be eligible for the program, students must:

• Be U.S. citizens, resident aliens, or non-citizen nationals
• Have completed at least one year of undergraduate coursework at a community college or university by the end of Fañomnåkan 2021 or by Fanuchånan 2021
• Have three years remaining in their undergraduate degree program by the end of Fañomnåkan 2021 (i.e., applicants will NOT graduate prior to Fañomnåkan 2023)
• Be enrolled full-time (12 credits) in Fañomnåkan 2021 and Fanuchånan 2021
• Have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
