In the News: Learn CHamoru: Classes offered at UOG
By Madison Scott of the Pacific Daily News
Learning CHamoru is a worthwhile endeavor for anyone with a connection to Guam. For CHamoru people living on island and in the diaspora, it offers a vibrant connection to family, ancestors, and history.
For non-CHamorus, learning the language shows respect for CHamoru culture, and provides profound insights to the people at the heart of Guam.
The University of Guam is celebrating its Platinum Jubilee throughout 2022 and 70 years of "Transforming Lives, Advancing Communities."
The month of March is focused on the University's impact on Micronesian history and culture. Stay posted on all University of Guam 70th Anniversary events and stories at www.uog.edu/70th-anniversary.
