University of Guam students will be given the opportunity to receive free testing for HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases at a health fair and screening on Oct. 20 and 21.  

The testing event, called “Know your status,” is being conducted through the Bureau of Communicable Disease Control, Guam Department of Public Health and Social Services’ STD/HIV Program.  

The STD/HIV Testing and vital sign screenings will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 20 and 21 at the Student Health Services office. Testing will cover Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Syphilis & HIV. Health screening services will check blood pressure, heart rate, pulse, and respiratory functions as well as blood sugar, weight, and body mass index.  

DPHSS will also hold an STD/HIV presentation at the Student Services Rotunda, 9 a.m. to 10 a.m on Oct. 21.
