The University of Guam Triton Women’s Basketball Team saved their best game of the Lady Tritons Super League for the first round of the playoffs. However, UOG still could not pull off a win and loss to the BallHers basketball club 60-48 on Saturday night in the UOG Calvo Field House.

The Lady Tritons, who had issues scoring in the first half of games during the regular season, managed to score 32 points in the first half. UOG led 16-11 after the first quarter and 32-27 at halftime, but the tide went against them in the second half.

BallHers outscored them in the third quarter and took a three-point lead heading into the fourth quarter. BallHers won the game with a final score of 60-48.

Leading the Lady Tritons were Trinity Edilyoung with 13 points and Jazmin Samonte with 10 points — it was the first time in the Super League that two Lady Tritons scored double figures. Ansile Sar Savejo led Team BallHers with 19 points.

The Lady Tritons finished the league with a 0-9 record. The BallHers improved to 4-5 and will face the undefeated Lady Bombers (8-0) in the semifinals at 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Team Acdavate (5-3) and Team Fuetsa (4-4) will take on each other in the first semifinals game at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
