The MVP Stars took the lead of the Triton Men's Basketball League following this week’s games at the University of Guam Calvo Field House. Meanwhile, the UOG Tritons could not break their losing streak and fell to 0-4 in the league.

Team Wu Tang defeated Team OG 95-90 in the second game of the night.

On Wednesday night, it was a battle of the undefeated teams — the MVP Stars against the Bombers. The MVPs defeated the Bombers 99-77 becoming the only undefeated team in the league. In the night’s second game, the M.B.I. Four-Stars claimed their first victory of the season by beating the UOG Tritons 102-65.

Team OG’s Chris Conner was the lead scorer Monday night with 39 points, while Joe Blas of the MVPs led Wednesday night with 37 points.

The Triton Men’s Basketball League plays again at 2 p.m., 3:45 p.m., and 5:30 p.m. this Saturday. The second half of the season begins on Monday with games at 6:30 p.m. and 8:15 p.m.

Community members are invited to watch the games, with a limit of 120 spectators per game. Proof of vaccination is required upon entry, and COVID safety protocols will be in place. Entry fees are $3 for adults, $2 for non-UOG students, and no charge for UOG students.
