The Biological Sciences Club at the University of Guam invites the local community to face their fears among friends at the club’s phobia-themed haunted house.

The haunted house will take place from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29, and from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 30, on two floors of the Science Building on the UOG campus.

Visitors can also enjoy a Halloween carnival in the courtyard between the Margaret Perez Hattori-Uchima School of Health and Science buildings featuring games, food and drinks, and student organization booths.

The club has hosted a haunted house every year since 2012, with this being their first one since before the pandemic.

“The Biological Sciences Club members and I are most excited to finally bring back our haunted house after a two-year break due to the pandemic,” said Gabby Prelosky, vice president of the club and chair of the event. “I am especially excited to have a theme based on phobias, which I haven’t seen done before and I hope will bring a new age of haunted house themes to come in the future. We hope everyone is just as excited, and we hope to see you on the nights of the 29th and 30th.”

Also helping plan the event were students from the American Medical Student Association, the Chemistry Club, and the Marine Opportunities/Nature Association.

All ages are welcome to enter the haunted house, although parental supervision is required for children under the age of 13. Visitors will need to use a staircase and may encounter flashing flights, loud noises, and disturbing imagery.

Admission is $7 per person, and tickets will be available at the door. Individual tickets and discounted group tickets of five for $30 are available on a pre-sale basis only by emailing uog.bioclub@gotritons.uog.edu or messaging the club on Instagram @uogbioclub.
