Downed trees on UOG campus
Fallen trees are being cleared on campus at the University of Guam on May 31, 2023.

The University of Guam campus remains closed to the public until further notice while post-Typhoon Mawar assessments and recovery are underway.

UOG is waiting for the restoration of water and power services. The clearing of fallen trees and other debris is ongoing. No one was reported injured on campus during the storm.

Only essential operations are open this week.

The closure has postponed all community activities scheduled at UOG this week, including proctoring for driver’s license testing and other tests, summer camps as well as activities at the Calvo Field House.

The Triton Summer Academy for incoming freshmen has a tentative start date of June 19 for Cohort 1.

The Finakpo’ Session A has been postponed to June 13. For more information about Finakpo’ Summer Sessions, please contact Admissions at admitme@triton.uog.edu.

An update on the status of campus activities will be issued as the situation improves.
