Sixteen student leaders in the 62nd Student Government Association (SGA) at the University of Guam took their oaths of office on August 12 in the Somnak Ballroom, The Westin Resort Guam.

They were elected by their fellow UOG students at a general election on May 8 to 10, 2023.

UOG President Anita Borja Enriquez and other UOG administrators, Gov. Lou Leon Guerrero, Lt. Gov. Josh Tenorio, and some of the island’s senators were among the attendees.

The 62nd SGA officers are:

  • Kyona A. Rivera, president, Communications major
  • Christian Gyles D. Ramos, Vice President, Business Administration major
  • Xiantei A. Limtuatco, Secretary, Business Administration, accounting
  • Austin Gaizmer Fortuno, Treasurer, Secondary Education, specialty in history
  • Thelma Grace Rogers, Public Relations Officer, Business Administration

The SGA senators are:

  • Keana Ardiente, Criminal Justice and Public Administration
  • Jonah Michael U. Chau, Political Science
  • Nicole Therese Guerrero, Political Science
  • Julie Ann R. Laxamana, Biology-Chemistry
  • Thuy Nguyen, Civil Engineering
  • Hanna Angela J. Ocampo, Business Administration
  • Sheldon Orhaitil Jr., Criminal Justice and Public Administration
  • Nathan I. Paz, Biology
  • Cazeline Joy S. Serrano, Pre-Nursing
  • Maeyah Soberano, Biology-Chemistry
  • Ilaria Kay Williams-Dueñas, Business Administration, accounting

The SGA started as the Associated Students of the Territorial College of Guam/Student Body Association (SBA) in 1954. It became the SGA in 1962.
