After taking the defending champs to five sets in their first match of the Lady Triton Volleyball League, the Lady Tritons lost to the Rogues 3-0 on Tuesday night in the UOG Calvo Field House. Pacific Volleyball Academy defeated Guam Pro in the battle of youth teams, 3-1.

The Lady Tritons came out strong and played well in the opening set, losing a close one 25-22. At that point, UOG did not play well again until late in the third set. The Lady Tritons fell in the second set 25-16 and did not look good in the loss.

The Tritons did not start the third set well either. UOG began playing better in the second half of the set, but they had already fallen behind by too many points. Their comeback fell short, and they lost the set and the match 25-22.

The Rogues are now 1-1 in the Triton League, while the Lady Tritons are 0-2.

In the nightcap, the two youngest teams in the league faced off as Pacific Volleyball Academy, the defending champs of the Lady Triton Volleyball League, took on Guam Pro. Both teams consist of high school and middle school students.

Pacific played well in the first two sets, winning 25-18 and 25-21. Guam Pro refused to go away and took the third set 25-23 in a close finish. Pacific Academy responded by winning the fourth set and the match 25-15.

Pacific Volleyball Academy is now 2-0 in the league, while Guam Pro evened their record at 1-1.

The Lady Triton Volleyball League plays again on Tuesday, April 14, with two matches:

Tuesday, April 14 
6:30 p.m. – VIBE vs. Lady Tritons 
8:15 p.m. – Guam Pro vs. Rogues

All matches are played in the UOG Calvo Field House.
