Thanks to Mary Shelly, the author of Frankenstein, the literary world has an incomparable Gothic horror story. In today’s world, Dr. Frankenstein would have needed to go through an Institutional Review Board, which most likely would not have given the approval for him to create the Frankenstein creature.
Although this is merely fiction, in the real world, there have been many examples of egregiously unethical studies conducted on human and animal subjects.
