The serene beauty, leisurely pace of life, and the remarkable island community of Guam are among its most alluring characteristics and what has inspired me to call it home. However, the drawbacks of our geographical remoteness and limited resources contribute to ongoing challenges in providing consistent interdisciplinary health care - especially in retaining providers on island. As a result, continuity of care often falters, and patients can fall through the cracks of the health care system.
