Charter Day 2026

Yap Students
Members of the UOG Yap Student Organization perform a traditional dance during the 57th Charter Day Celebration on March 6, 2025, at the University of Guam. The performance, rooted in cultural traditions passed down through generations, featured brightly colored attire, rhythmic chants, and the clacking of bamboo sticks, with performers wearing a turmeric and coconut oil mixture as part of the custom.
Drone Demo
The University of Guam Drone Corps held a drone flight demonstration at the 57th Charter Day Celebration on March 6, 2025. Participants learned about the rules of flying drones in Guam and about the different types of drones available.
President's Cup
Students and employees compete in the futsal event of the 2024 President’s Cup on Feb. 20, 2024, at the Calvo Field House at the University of Guam. Teams composed of Triton staff and students played alongside and against one another in the spirited campus competition.

The University of Guam will celebrate its 58th Charter Day on Thursday, March 5, 2026, under the theme “UOG Rising: A New Era of Growth, Service, and Impact.” The campus-wide event — the largest annual community gathering at UOG — will feature cultural performances, live entertainment, food vendors, campus tours, and activities for all ages.

Charter Day commemorates the anniversary of UOG’s founding and the 1968 charter that renamed the Territorial College of Guam as the University of Guam. The celebration brings together students, families, alumni, and community partners to honor UOG’s regional impact and commitment to service.

Charter Day School Tours

School groups are welcome to participate in field trips and tours designed for younger students. Interested participants can contact Charlene Masiwemai at  americorpsuog@triton.uog.edu.

“Charter Day and Charter Month are more than celebrations. They reflect our mission to deliver public value, with the intent to transform lives and advance the communities we serve,” said UOG President Anita Borja Enriquez. “We invite everyone to join us in recognizing this milestone and all that UOG contributes across Guam and the region.”
