The winning student will receive a $250 prize. The photo will be turned into an art print that the Senior Vice President will use as a gift to be presented to distinguished visiting guests of UOG.

The theme for the contest is “A View Worth Sharing.” Students are encouraged to capture a view anywhere on the UOG campus that makes them stop, feel, or wonder. Whether iconic or overlooked, grand or intimate, or familiar or unexpected, the photograph should showcase a place or moment that presents a meaningful glimpse of the university.

The following are additional guidelines for the contest:

Eligibility

Open to all University of Guam students (undergraduate and graduate, full time and part time) currently enrolled for the Fanuchånan (Fall) 2026 semester

• Limit of one (1) submission per student

 

Photographs

• Must be original, individual work; no AI-generated work; no collaborative or group submissions

• Photos may be captured using DSLR cameras, film cameras, smartphones, tablets, or other photographic devices, but entries must be submitted as a digital file

• Basic photo editing (e.g., cropping, color, sharpness, exposure, contrast) is permissible but should preserve the authenticity of the original photo; substantially altering elements of the photo is not allowed

• Submit as a high-resolution JPEG or PNG (minimum 300 dpi)

• Must reflect the contest theme

 

Submission Process

• Submissions should be sent to svppoffice@triton.uog.edu

• Include the following in the email of your submission:

  • Full name
  • Degree program
  • Title of the photo
  • Type of camera of photographic device used
  • Editing information (indicate whether any editing was performed on the photo, and if so, briefly describe the edits applied)

The deadline to enter the contest is Friday, October 16, 2026.
